Sometimes even the best are unsure of their next step. An outside opinion can help clear the noise in your head and bring clarity.
Maybe you’re too hard on yourself, maybe you’re not pushing yourself far enough, or maybe your barrier is a technical one.
meet me in the studio, and keep yourself accountable to produce your best work!
A class consists of myself and 5 people in a Zoom session. I help every one according to where they are at: some people only need a final honest crit of the work they’ve done that week, some people get stuck technically and need a change of direction, others might need support from another artist on this often harsh creative journey! In this class we chose to be vulnerable, we all show our work and learn together. I believe in art one learning is excellerated in a group much more in agroup than can show the work they’ve done and with time the group learns to trust each other because

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: Book your classes for the time zone slot that suits you. You pay for 4 sessions at a time. There is a maximum of 5 people in a group this means that the group is small enough to be intimate and we can learn from each others experiences too.
Step 2: Before each class, email me an image of what you’re working on so I can give feedback throughout the class. You can work on your own projects or request assignments from me. When you send the email:
Resize your images so that they are no larger than 2MB.
Avoid glare when taking photos of your assignments.
Crop your images and make sure that the photos are in good focus.
Make sure to photograph your subject (ex. still-life) from the exact angle you are painting it from.
Step 3: A Zoom link will be sent 15 minutes before your class. We’ll connect as a group on Zoom, and during class we’ll send process images through WhatsApp or email so I can give visual feedback and help with technique.
Step 4. Your artful experience starts! Two hours of focused attention and artistic guidance to improve your skills at your own pace. I’ll be giving critiques and ‘relevant-to-the -situation -lessons’ while students are painting. One of the valuable things I offer which is difficult to find on you tube videos is a real time peak into a and is not something you find
Step 5: The day after each session, I’ll send an email to everyone in the class with links to relevant articles and information, based on what we discussed in class. Opinions in art are broad and it’s good to get a variety of input.
COSTS
Class sizes are strictly limited and paid in advance. You can cancel free of charge within 48 hours of the class start time. If you missed a class there are no make-up sessions.
4 lesson bundles are $250 AUD or the international equivalent.
Since South Africa has gained Junk Status, it’s R800 for a 4 lesson bundle, only if you’re living in South Africa. This is a limited time opportunity.
When you email me, please include the following in your email:
Three examples of your work (they don’t have to be finished) attached in .jpg form.
One brief paragraph about what you wish to accomplish and the medium you most like to work with.
The 4 dates you wish to attend - either weekly or fortnightly consecutively.
