Meet me in the studio, AND keep yourself accountable to produce your best work.
Rekindle your creative spark!
Sometimes even the best are unsure of their next step. An outside opinion can help clear the noise in your head and bring clarity.
Maybe you’re too hard on yourself, maybe you’re not pushing yourself far enough, or maybe your barrier is a technical one?
Sometimes it’s a lonely journey making art, and all you need is the company of another artist to work alongside you for a while.
This is What I offer that a youtube channel can’t
An honest opinion, in a safe environment, from a practicing artist. You’ll be getting input from someone in the arena, not someone loitering in the grandstands.
Warm encouragement, because art is hard! As Degas noted, ‘Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do.’
I’ve taught art for a long time now. I’ve worked in most mediums, experimented with many styles and gone down many rabbit holes! I’ll meet you where you’re at .
Tell me what you’re looking at on Youtube and I have a wide general knowledge to help weigh or contextualise what your reading online.
If you’re already a practicing artist we’ll look at your work and see where you want to go. If you’re a newbie, I have a series of assignments for you to to do which help you grow in manageable bite sizes.
